Temperatures to drop again tonight

Arctic front passing over Ireland and UK.

Scattered showers will continued overnight as temperatures drop significantly caused by an arctic front sweeping across Ireland and the UK.

Lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees in a light to moderate westerly wind on Wednesday, but this could dip even further by tomorrow (Thursday) when night time temperatures could drop to a chilly 3 to 6 degrees with light winds.

The outlook during the daytime is that conditions will remain cool with sunny spells and scattered showers, and that this extends towards the weekend with outbreaks of rain and drizzle extending from the west.

However, by that stage the coldest of the late in the day weather will be over.
