Bereavement notices for Cavan and Monaghan

It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.

Aiden O'Neill

Fartrin, Ballyconnell, Cavan, H14X751

Aiden died peacefully on September 9th 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home.

Predeceased by his brothers Seamus, Michael, sisters Maura, Monica, Eileen & Elizabeth.

Survived by his loving wife Bridie and sister Etta.

Dearly missed by his loving children Ronan(Lisa), Aisling(Jerry) & Ciara(Declan), his grandchildren Amma & Noise, his nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours & many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his home tomorrow Tuesday evening September 10th from 5 o'clock until 8 o'clock. Shuttle bus available at this time from Our Lady of Lourdes church, Ballyconnell to his home. House private at all other times please.

Removal on Wednesday morning 11th September arriving at Our Lady of Lourdes church, Ballyconnell for requiem mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Galligan, Michael, (Raheny Dublin, & Kilnaleck Co Cavan) (95th year) September 8th, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital. Beloved and adoring husband of Kathleen, father to Marie~Ciarán Smyth, Fintan~Lorna, Emer~Conor Litchfield, Declan~Sarah, Vivian~Louise and the late Norbert~Cliona Cronin. Brother to the late Pat (New Zealand) Kathleen Adair,(Co Down) Benny (Mullagh), Mary & Bridget (Cavan). Sadly missed by his family, Grandchildren, Ciara~ Philip Doyle, Katherine, Rory, Liam ~Alannah, Emma, Kate, Sarah, Cian, Caolán, Alex and Conor, sisters in law, cousins far and wide, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday September, 11th of September, from 5pm-7pm, Thursday 12th 3-7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11.30am, at Our Lady Mother of Divine Grace Church, Raheny, followed by burial at St Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Tattygar, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred Sissi (Sarah) Connolly née Comiskey, Tattygar, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.

Monday 9th September peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Frank (Dankie), two infant daughters and grandson Patrick.

Sadly missed and always loved by her family, son Francis, daughters Sheila, Colette and Mary, sons-in-law, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her 8 siblings Tony (Castleblayney), Leo (Castleblayney), Noeleen (Castleblayney), Treasa (Castleblayney), Betty (Hackballscross) May (Dundalk), Ann (Glasgow) and Kathleen (Glasgow), nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.
