Family Business Woman of the Year Aisling Ryan, CEO Ryans Cleaning.

Family Business Woman of the Year to give Cavan address at network event

The recipient of the ‘Family Businesswoman of the Year 2023’ award has been revealed as the keynote speaker for the Cavan Women in Business Network's September event.

Aisling Ryan, CEO of Ryan’s Cleaning, will address members on the topic ‘Cleaning Up by Cleaning Up’ on Wednesday, September 11, at the Hotel Kilmore.

She is the head of Ryans Cleaning, a company that has established itself as the industry leader in cleaning services for sports, festivals, and events across Ireland and the UK.

Over the past 40 years, the company has grown from its humble beginnings in Tipperary to become the multimillion-euro enterprise it is today.

Ryans Cleaning began its journey with the iconic 'Féile The Trip to Tipp' in Thurles, where Aisling’s parents, Pat and Phil Ryan, identified a niche in the market. Through hard work and family support, they built a business that is now celebrated as one of Ireland’s great family business success stories.

Aisling has been involved in the business from a young age, spending her school summer holidays working at shows and on-site, learning every aspect of the business from the ground up.

In 2023, Aisling’s dedication was recognised when she was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Family Businesswoman of the Year’ at the IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards. This accolade, which saw over 530 entries and 94 short-listed nominees, marks a significant milestone in her career.

The event will also feature Francis Verling, a seasoned business development advisor with over 30 years of experience. Francis will conduct a mini-workshop titled 'Price Right – Because You’re Worth It!', offering valuable insights into pricing strategies for business owners.

Additionally, Tara McGovern, business advisor at Local Enterprise Office Cavan, will discuss how the LEO can assist business owners and start-ups in the region.

Margaret McKeon-Boyle, coordinator of the Cavan Women in Business Network, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

This event promises to be an inspiring and informative evening, offering attendees valuable opportunities to learn, network, and connect with fellow businesswomen.
