Crews working to restore water in Cavan Town
Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in Cavan Town.
A crew of workers is trying to locate a burst in Cavan Town and restore water to customers this afternoon.
A burst on the water main has resulted in customers in the College Street and Railway Road areas of the town experiencing disruptions to their supply.
Crews are on the ground and every effort is being made to locate the issue as quickly as possible and return a full supply to customers.
In the meantime, an alternative water supply is available for customers at Rudden’s Garage on Railway Road. Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure, as per HSE advice.
Uisce Éireann’s Peter Gallagher assured customers that every effort is being made to locate the burst and restore water as quickly as possible:
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works are ongoing.”
