Bereavement notices for Cavan and Monaghan

It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Chistina Catherine Drozd

(née McGee)

Cavan

Died peacefully in hospital and will be deeply missed by her sons, extended family and many friends.

The Requiem Mass will take place on 9th September at 10am at St Nicholas Church, Boldmere, Birmingham.

Hughie Duffy

Cornahoe, Ballybay, Monaghan

The Death has occurred of Hughie Duffy , Cornahoe, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Wednesday August 28th peacefully at Castleross Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his wife Rose and his son Brendan (Benny).

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, daughters Margaret (Michael) and Catheriona (Gabriel), sons Seamus (Maria), Joe (Fiona) and Brendan Rip (Vivienne), brothers, sisters, his 19 cherished grandchildren, sisters in-law, brothers in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.

Hughie will repose at Wards Funeral Home Ballybay (A75H585) tomorrow Thursday from 4pm until 8pm and again Friday evening from 4pm until 8pm. Hughie’s funeral cortège will travel from his residence on Saturday morning at 10:30am to arrive at Our Lady Of Knock Church Ballintra, for funeral mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

House private on Saturday morning please.
