The derelict property at Drokabawn is likely to qualify for Vacant Property Grant.

Prime land on the market in Shercock

Some 22 acres of prime agricultural land with a derelict house and outbuildings have come on the market just outside Shercock.

The property, which is located at Drokabawn, lies 800m off the Shercock to Cootehill main road (R192) on the L6109.

The area is a pleasant and sought after rural location approximately 6km from Shercock and 10km from Cootehill.

The property is available for sale by private treaty.

The land comes to the market in two blocks, which are located on opposite sides of the public road. The blocks are 200m apart each representing 11ac. All the land is in permanent pasture and has a water supply. It is regarded as “good grazing land”. The house, meanwhile, is a single-storey, four-room dwelling in need of complete refurbishment and is likely to qualify for the Vacant Property Grant. There are a number of agricultural outbuildings on-site, however these are also in need of some work.

The land and buildings are being brought to market by Noel Corcoran Auctioneers, Tipperary Town.
