It is with regret that we note the following deaths from County Cavan and County Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.

Hubert Barry

Drumnawall, Arva, Cavan

Barry, Hubert, Drumnawall, Arva, Co. Cavan, peacefully in his home. Beloved husband of Patricia and dear father of Tonya, Elaine, Rachel, David and Brian. Sadly missed by his brother Fergus, sister in law Noreen, nieces and nephews, sons in law and daughters in law, grandchildren, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Hubert will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home (H12RF78) on Saturday, 24th Aug, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 25th Aug, at 12pm in Sacred Heart Church, Drumalt, Arva (H12RY96) followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium. Family flowers only please. House private at all times.

Mary Mc Skeane

(née Mc Mahon)

Tusker, Castleblayney, Monaghan, A75K371

The death has occurred of Mary McSkeane (Neè Mc Mahon) Tusker, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan (A75K371). Wednesday August 21st peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Pat, grandson Conor, brothers Paddy and Seamus.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by her daughters Annmarie, Bernie and Carmel, sons Brendan, Kevin, Gerry & Oliver, sons in law and daughters in law, her 19 cherished grandchildren, brother Henry, sister-in-law Esther, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Mary will Repose at her home today, Thursday, from 5pm until removal on Saturday morning at 10:15 am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Lisdoonan for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to The Acute Stroke Unit, Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, C/o Ward's Funeral Home or by donation box.

Directions to Mary’s home, traveling from Carrickmacross to Castleblayney along the N2 take L4110 (after Mc CAUGHEYS filling station on your left) and follow the funeral signs.
