Several injured after crash on N3 at Killygarry Church
Collision occurred just after 1pm today.
A number of people have been hospitalised after a road traffic collision on the N3 outside Cavan Town earlier today.
The incident involved a bus and two cars and occurred along the N3 at Killygarry Church at approximately 1:10pm this afternoon.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, and while there were traffic delays in the area for a time, traffic is moving steadily this evening.
Speaking to the Anglo Celt, Jim Reilly, Business Eireann Depot Supervisor in Cavan Town confirmed that a company expressway bus travelling to Donegal was involved in the collision alongside two other vehicles.
He highlighted how Bus Eireann was cooperating with the gardaí, and the medical and fire services. He also indicated that “an investigation will be carried out by all parties". Mr Reilly also confirmed that neither the driver nor the passengers on the bus were injured.
