Kathleen Leathem

(née Gilligan)

Killyvalley, Crossdoney, Cavan / Ballinasloe, Galway

Kathleen Leathem (nee Gilligan) Killyvalley, Crossdoney, Co. Cavan and formerly of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. Wednesday August 21st 2024, peacefully at her home and in the loving care of her devoted husband and best friend, Seamus and their family.

Kathleen is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret, sisters Mary, Ellie, Margaret, brothers Paddy Jimmy, Marty, Andy and Thomas. Kathleen will be very sadly missed by her husband Seamus and her loving family, Patricia, Geraldine and Raymond, sons in law Denis and Stephen and Raymond's partner Caroline, her sister Nancy, her adored grandchildren, Caitríona, Caoimhe, Eoghan, Hazel, Leah, Adam, Jamie and Keira, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all her relatives, caring neighbours and many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Kathleen will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road on Thursday evening from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Friday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Drumcor arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass, burial will take place in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

No flowers please, donations in lieu would be appreciated by the family to Palliative care, Cavan, by donation box in the Funeral Home, any family member or McMahon Funeral Directors, Farnham Road, Cavan Town.

Breda Morris

Hawkswood, Swanlinbar, Cavan, H14 C922

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital following a short illness daughter of the late Jody & Betty, deeply regretted by her loving partner Gary, Children Avril, Amy. Kelly, Garyjames, Kim, Jason, Kyle, and Jodie, Sisters Bernie, Caroline and Sarah, Brothers Brendan and Joseph nephews, nieces relatives and friends.

MAY BREDA'S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Breda's remains will repose at her late residence (Eircode H14 C922) from 4pm until 8pm this Thusday. House private at all other times.

Breda will leave her late residence on Friday at 10.30am proceeding on foot to arrive at Saint Mary's Church for 11am Mass of the Resurrection with burial in Killaduff cemetery afterwards.

Rose Patricia COGGANS

(née McArdle)

Polperro, Mounthamilton, Carrick Road, Dundalk, Louth / Monaghan

Formerly Drumbear, Co. Monaghan. Suddenly, but peacefully, on August 21st, 2024, in the attentive care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her son John, aged 11, in 1979, by her parents, brother Brendan, sister Carmel and son-in-law Derek. Loving and most loved wife of John (Seán) for over 61 years, mother to Stephanie, Mary and David, Nana to Rebecca, Christopher, Amy, Lucy, Grace, Dearbhla, Ruairí, Áine and Niamh and mother-in-law to Noel and Sarah. She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, son, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Patricia will repose at her home (A91 V9T2) on Thursday, August 22nd from 12 noon to 8pm. Removal on Friday, August 23rd, at 10.30am, driving to the Church of the Holy Redeemer (Eircode A91 NY2Y), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. After Mass, the cortège will drive to St. Patrick’s Cemetery for burial.

The death has occurred of Brendan Hughes, Tiravray, Castleshane, Co.Monaghan, Tuesday, 20th August, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Pat and Rose and his brother Frankie. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken family. Dearly beloved husband of Mary and devoted father to Siobhán, Clíodhna, Paddy, and Sinéad. Father in law to Graínne, Joe and Anthony. Cherished Grandfather to Diarmuid, Tomás, Caolán and Darragh and step grandchildren, Laura and Mark.

Reposing at his home (H18 E427) on Wednesday (21/08/2024) from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m and Thursday (22/08/2024) from 6 p.m until 9 p.m. Family time at other times please. Removal on Friday (23/08/2024) at 10.30 a.m., arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Tyholland for funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

5 Carn Heights, Clones, Monaghan, H23 PC59 / Fermanagh

The death has occurred of Catherine McMahon, (nee Goodwin,), 5 Carn Heights, Clones, Co. Monaghan (H23 PC59), formerly of Cooneen, Co. Fermanagh, Wednesday 21st August 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the staff of Medical 2, Cavan General Hospital after a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by her husband Gerry and her parents Eileen and John Goodwin.

Beloved and much loved mother of Shane (Nicole), Roisin and Deirdre. Catherine will be sadly missed and remembered with love by daughters, son, daughter-in-law, cherished and adored granddaughter Clodagh, sisters Geraldine and Bridget, brothers Sean, Jimmy, Kieran and Kevin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, her faithful and loyal four legged friend Charlie, many friends and by all who knew and loved Catherine.

Catherine will be resting at the family home, 5 Carn Heights, Clones (H23 PC 59), Wednesday (21st) from 5pm to 9 pm and Thursday (22nd) from 2pm to 9pm, with removal on Friday (23rd) morning to Sacred Heart Chapel, Clones for 11.00am Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver's Cemetery, Clones. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Cavan Oncology Unit, c/o Martin's Funeral Directors, Newbliss or by donation box in the family home. Family time on Friday morning please.

Joseph (Joey) O'Reilly

The death has occurred of Joseph (Joey) O' Reilly, Stonebridge and formerly of Tullykenny, Smithborough, Monaghan, Tuesday 20th August, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Rosha and his nephew Caolan.

Joey will be forever loved and missed by his wife Frances, his daughter Amanda (Martin Mc Nelis) , his son Stephen, his sisters Mary Fitzpatrick (Glaslough) , Rosie O' Reilly (New York), his brothers Peter (Monaghan), Felix (New York) and Fr.Martin (New York), his adored grandchildren Daniel, Luke, Brodie, Lexie, Billieanne and his great grandchildren Tadgh and Fiadh.

Joey will repose at Clerkins Funeral Home (H18YF22) on Friday (23rd) from 4pm until 9pm. Joey's funeral procession will arrive at St. Mary's Church, Magherarny, Smithborough, on Saturday (24th) for 11am funeral mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
