Dineyard by the Lake not to be missed...
A new food tourism event by The Cottage Market in Cavan will take place at Annagh lake this Sunday afternoon.
Entitled DineYard by the Lake, the event will not only feature the beautiful local amenity, it will also introduce a locally inspired menu from Local Green Box, live music, and activities for both children and adults to enjoy.
The Cottage Market has teamed up with Cavan Sports Partnership and their HER Outdoors campaign as part of a concerted effort to motivate participants to embrace the outdoors on the day through the various activities planned, some of which will require pre-booking in order to avoid disappointment. This also includes pre ordering the Brunch menu.
Meanwhile, outdoor activities on the day will include Yoga & Dip which offers a relaxing 45-minute Yoga session with qualified yoga instructor Noeleen Shannon, followed by a refreshing dip in Annagh lake supervised by a lifeguard.
Also on offer is the Stand up Paddleboarding which will afford participants an opportunity to explore the water on stand-up paddleboards for a fun session under the supervision of the experienced ‘Jolly paddler’ instructors.
Plunge and Sauna is another experience not to be missed. This provides the ultimate relaxation with Live Lagom lake plunge and sauna sessions while the Cavan Jam Circle will supply participants with easy-going jam sessions, playing all sorts of music and welcoming musicians and singers from all corners of Cavan.
There will also be numerous field games on the day between 1-4pm that will comprise skip ropes, parachutes, ball games, bean bag tosses, hula hoops, and more while a Bushcraft session will begin with foraging for wild edibles, exploring their uses for food, medicine, and tonics and move onto focusing on fire-making where various techniques and their uses will be explored to culminate in a bow drill fire demonstration of stone-age methods.

DineYard by the Lake runs this Sunday, August 18 from 12 noon to 4pm.
Parking is available but those in the attendance area asked to be ‘mindful’ of where and how they park.
