John McBreen, Swellan, Cavan Town, Co. Cavan, Sunday, August 11th, at his residence. Beloved husband of Agnes. Pre-deceased by his parents James and Kathleen and his son Michael. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son John, daughters in law, grandchildren Conor, Ryan and Emma, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow, Tuesday, from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am in the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, Cremation service afterwards in Lakelands, Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

David Murray, John Paul Avenue, Cavan Town, Sunday August 11th. Youngest son of the late Francie and Eileen (née Farrelly). Sadly missed by his loving daughter Mia Mae, brothers, Keith, Francie, Colin and Bernard, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Palmerstown, Dublin / Monaghan

CREEDON (née Dempsey), Kathleen (Palmerstown, Dublin 20 and formerly of Co. Monaghan). Passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2024. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim), much-loved mother of John, Francis and Sinead, and cherished grandmother of Maeve, Liam, Anna, Grace, and Maria. Sadly, missed by her loving sons, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law Norman, daughter-in-law Madeline, sisters Rosemary and Maura, brother-in-law John, sisters-in-law Pauline and Josephine, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbours.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her home on Thursday evening (August 15th) between 5pm and 8pm. Removal on Friday morning (August 16th) to St. Philomena’s Church, Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Palmerstown Cemetery.

Cumiskey, Eileen (née Woods) - August 9th 2024 (Late of Raheny and formerly Clones, Monaghan) (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Vincent and dearly loved mother of Paula, Cathy, and Louisa. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren Gerard, Aedin, Sean, Emma, Adam, SarahJane, Katie, Aaron and Grace, great-grandchildren Ashley, Dylan, Leo and Layla, sons in law Darren, Brendan and Robert, brothers Bartle and Frances, sister Anne, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Barry Fox, Billis, Glaslough Co. Monaghan, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff of Medical 1, Cavan General Hospital, Monday 12th August 2024. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Ann. Much loved husband of Joan (nee McArdle). Barry will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, his cherished daughters, Elaine (Rob McKeown), Edel, Aisling (Val Delaney) and Aóife (Conor Hughes), his adored grandchildren Jacob and Noah, extended family, wonderful neighbours, his many friends and by all who knew and loved Barry.

Barry will be resting at the family home, Billis, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan (H18 XW40), on Tuesday 13th from 2pm to 9pm, (family time at all other times please, including Wednesday morning) with removal on Wednesday morning 14th, to St. Mary's Church, Gleenan, Glaslough (H18 YT20) for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Francie Matthews. Derryolam, Carrickmacross. 11th August 2024. Peacefully, surrounded by his cherished family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his wife Lizzie, his son-in-law Joe McNally, his parents Kevin & Teresa and his brothers Pat, Harry, Michael, Brendan & John.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family; his sons Francis (Frances) & Andrew (Jane) and his daughters Mary & Pauline, his much-loved grandchildren Cian, Euan, Dáire, Elly, Kate & Tom, his sisters Kitty Crosby & Phyllis Sullivan, his extended family, friends & neighbours.

Francie will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Tuesday, 13th August, from 4pm until 8pm.

Francie’s funeral cortège will leave his home, Derryolam, on Wednesday, 14th August, proceeding on foot via the Pound, the Bridewell & Main Street, to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

(née O'Hanlon)

Silver Quay, Athlone, Westmeath / Tyholland, Monaghan

Silver Quay, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and formerly Killyneil, Tyholland, Co. Monaghan, August 12th 2024, peacefully in her 100th year, in the care of the staff at Sonas Nursing Home, Athlone, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Stan, her sons Donal and Peter, her parents Patrick and Bríd O’Hanlon, her grandchildren Aaron, Claire, Damian and her great grandchild Luna Meabh, her brother Frank and sisters Maura and Gene.

Sally will be forever loved and fondly remembered by her children Paddy (Patricia), Mary (Keith), Anne (P.J.), Michael (Emer), Paula (Gerald) and John (Adrienne), her daughter in law Patrisia, her 22 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her brothers Pat and Seamus, nieces, nephews, relatives and her many friends.
