Sunshine and showers on horizon over weekend
A mixed bag of weather in Ulster.
Sunny spells as well as isolated showers are anticipated over the weekend. Today, Saturday will start out sunny but isolated showers will move in through the day. It will, however, become dryer by late afternoon or evening with highest temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees and moderate westerly winds.
Saturday night will see patchy drizzle across the west and southwest areas of Ulster. Otherwise, it will stay dry with lows of 11 to 15 degrees.
Sunday will start out generally dry with hazy sunny spells for most. Cloud and light rain will then spread northwards, with the possibility of heavier and persistent rain in the west by evening. It will be warm and humid with highs of 19 to 25 degrees in mostly moderate southeasterly winds.
Heavy showers will develop overnight with thunderstorms possible. Rain further west will push eastwards across the country overnight, giving way to clear spells. Mild overnight with temperatures not falling below 13 to 16 degrees.
Monday will experience a dry, sunny start with heavy showers lingering in the east. Showers clearing throughout the day which will allow for long spells of sunshine over the country. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees with light northwesterly breezes.
