Steve Baigent

Tomkin Road, Belturbet, Cavan

Steve Baigent, Tomkin Road, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, Thursday, August 8th, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital. Steve will be sadly missed by his friends and neighbours.

Reposing in Drumlane Parish Church on Saturday, 10th August, from 1pm until 1.45pm followed by prayers and burial in the adjoining Churchyard.

Sean Kelly

Derrycramph, Cavan

Sean Kelly, Derrycramph, Cavan, Wednesday August 7th 2024, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents John Joe and Kathleen and his brother Felim. Sean will be very sadly missed by his sisters Pearl, Patricia and Carmel, brothers in law John, Jim and Bud, sister in law Bernie, nephews and nieces, grandnephews and nieces, his very good neighbours, his colleagues at Bus Eireann, all his fellow Pipe Band members, all his extended family and his wide circle of friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan on Friday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 2pm in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan. Burial will take place afterwards in St. Patrick's Church , Drumcor in the family plot. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Palliative Care Unit, Cavan General Hospital, via donation boxes in the Funeral Home and the Cathedral. Unexpectedly at his home. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his beloved wife Gintauta, his loving daughters Aiva and Ugne (Kirwan Ave, Trim, Co. Meath), his heartbroken brothers and sisters, and his many relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd, Cavan, H12RF78 on Saturday evening, 10th August, from 4.30pm, followed by cremation at 5pm.

The family of Ricardas wish to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to An Garda Siochana, Kingscourt Fire Service, Ambulance Personnel and the community of Shercock for their support and prayers at this time.

Michael (Mick) Morgan

Knockharley, Brownstown, Navan, Meath / Virginia, Cavan

Formerly Murmod, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Suddenly but peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his great-grandchild Dylan.

Mick will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, children Siobhan Farrelly (Patrick) Virginia, Michael (Sandra) Cavan, Bridget Morgan (Seamus) Knockharley, Sinéad Scanlon (Mark) Dollardstown, Noeleen Ward (Niall) Wicklow and Andrew (Pamela) Knockharley, grandchildren Daniel, Shannon, Caoimhe, Michael, Charlene, Colin, Chloe, Leah, Adam, Robert, Nicole and Darragh, great-grandchildren Arianna, Jack, and Jamie, sisters Mary, Kathleen and Berni (Virginia), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at St Joseph’s Chapel of Rest, Old Johnstown, Navan (C15 C425) on Friday from 5pm until prayers at 7:30pm. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Yellow Furze, Beauparc (C15 YX22) for 11am Funeral Mass, which can be viewed live here.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Liam Boylan

The Diamond, Clones, Monaghan, H23 P820

The death has occurred of Liam BOYLAN RIP, The Diamond, Clones, Co. Monaghan (originally of Tonnyglasson, Castleblayney).

Surrounded by his loving family, Liam passed away peacefully on Tuesday, the 30th of July 2024.

Adored brother, father, grandfather and beloved husband, he will be greatly missed his wife Margaret, by his brother Seamus, sisters Marie BARTLETT (Neil) and Rosena KELLY (Michael), his son John, daughters Elisabeth and Vanessa, his daughter-in-law, Danielle, sons-in-law Phillip and Phelim, grandchildren Jacinta and Justin EDWARDS, Sean and Oliver BOYLAN, Chloe and Connor BRADY, stepsons Francis SHAW (Jamie) and David SHAW (Lucia) and grandchildren Michael, Isobel, Cooper, Lily Rose, Francis, Helene, his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Liam is predeceased by his mother, Rose BOYLAN ní MARTIN, his parents, James and Anne BOYLAN, his sister Nancy MOEN (John) Ballybay, his brother, Martin (Maureen), Coventry, England.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.

Liam will repose at the family home on The Diamond, Clones, Co. Monaghan, H23 P820, on Sunday, 11th of August 2024 from 1pm until 7pm with the family in attendance.

Liam’s funeral cortège will depart from his residence at 10.30am, to arrive at Sacred Heart Church, Clones, Co. Monaghan on Monday, the 12th of August 2024 for Requiem mass at 11am.

Sean (Pops) McArdle

1 Killyconnigan, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Sean (Pops) McArdle, No 1 Killyconnigan, Monaghan and Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home, Monaghan. Formerly Doagheys, Glaslough. Peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family Audri, Louise, Scarlett, Colm & Pat.

Predeceased by his darling wife Siobhán, his parents James and Winifred, brother Patsy and sister Mary Mohan. Sean will be sadly missed by his heart broken daughters, Audri and Louise, his adored granddaughter Scarlett Herron, his devoted sons-in-law Colm Herron and Pat Markey, his loving sisters, Sr Carmel (Rita) and Winifred Shortt, his brothers Brian and Laurence McArdle, nephews, nieces, friends, the loving community of Drumbear Nursing Home and friends of Monaghan Veteran & Vintage Club, of which he was founder member. Pops was one of life’s absolute gentlemen. The kindest, sweetest, loveliest, intelligent, gracious man you could ever hope to meet.

Reposing at his daughter Audri Herron’s home, Drumbear House, Drumbear, Monaghan H18 FE44, on Friday (09/08/2024) from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Shuttle bus in operation from McNally's Filling Station from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. House private on Saturday morning to family and close friends please. Removal on Saturday (10/08/2024) at 2.30 p.m. arriving at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for 3 pm funeral Mass. We would love if you wore bright colours, as he loved them. Private Cremation afterwards at 6 p.m. Sean’s ashes will be later interred beside the ashes of his wife Siobhán, in Calvary Graveyard, Monaghan.

Paddy Owens

Tully, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Paddy Owens, 42 Tully, Monaghan. Thursday 8th August peacefully at Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Bernadette, parents Kathleen & Paddy and brothers John & Jimmy (Al).

Paddy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters Dympna (Christie McKenna), Eileen (Sean Conlon) & Catherine, sons Paddy (Grainne) & Eamonn (Denise), cherished grandchildren Ryan, Niall, Ruairí, Fintan, Orlaith, Shane, James, Darragh, Diezel, Dillon, Daithí, great granddaughter Babette, extended family and friends.

Paddy’s remains will repose at McMahon’s Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Friday from 4pm – 8pm and on Saturday from 4pm – 8pm. House private please. Paddy’s remains will leave his family home in Tully on Monday (12th) to arrive at St.Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Latlurcan Cemetery.
