Ballinagh fire brought under control
Four units of the fire service were alerted to a fire at a restaurant premises in Ballinagh today (August 1).
The fire took place in a premises at the top of Ballinagh's mainstreet just before midday. It was brought under control by the fire service.
Killeshandra fire brigade remain on site monitoring the scene.
There were no injuries reported.
A spokesperson from Cavan County Council said:
"At 11.41am Cavan Town Brigade and Killeshandra Brigade were alerted to a well-developed fire at a restaurant premises in Ballinagh."
"Units from Belturbet and Ballyjamesduff were also alerted to the scene."
"Teams in breathing apparatus entered the building and brought the fire under control."
"Killeshandra brigade remain on site monitoring the scene."
