It is with regret that we note the following deaths from County Cavan and County Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.
Michael Shannon
Legnagrow, Glangevlin, Cavan
Michael Shannon, Legnagrow, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan. Peacefully at his residence.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Teresa, parents Jimmy and baby brother Seamus and sister Maura, brother in law Hughie and nephew Brendan.
Michael will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Siobhan (Liam Murray), sons Gabriel (Lynn), Noel (Rachel), Enda (Aisling), his adored
grandchildren, sister's Ann (Frank Mullen), Bridie (Peter Shanley), sister in law Lillie, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Michael will be reposing at his residence (N41 AD78) on Monday 29th from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday 30th in St. Patrick's Church, Glangevlin (N41Y409 at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
House private at all other times please.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her beloved husband Brian. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters, Angela Gaffney (Ben), Crosscarn, Mullagh and Karen Shiels (Darren), Rooskey, Co. Leitrim. Her cherished and adored grandchildren, Mairead (Joey), Patrick, Niamh, Evan and Jake, her dear Sister Angela (Tommy), Cabra West, Dublin, brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her home (A82X9D9) on Tuesday evening, From 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10am in St. Mary's Church, Cross, Mullagh, A82CK73, followed by Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 12 noon.

The death has occurred of Michael Murphy, Tattenclave, Stranooden, Co.Monaghan Saturday July 27th peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his wife Josie, son John, daughters Carmel, Marie and Helena, and his predeceased son Martin, daughter in law Debs, sons in law Colm and Rob, grand children Oisín, Jack, James, Molly, Maggie, Éabha and Daragh, his sister Josie, his much loved nieces and nephews and the extended Murphy and Clerkin families, neighbours and many friends.

Michael will repose at his home Tattenclave, Stranooden, Co Monaghan (H18 P110) tomorrow Monday from 2pm until 9 pm.
House private to family at other times please.
Removal on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm to arrive at St. Michael’s Church Corcaghan for funeral mass at 3pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Errigal Truagh Special Needs c/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box.

Saturday, July 27th 2024. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Valerie (née Pratt), dear father of David (Phyllis), Gordon (Breda), and Shirley Anne (Patsy). Remembered with love by his wife, sons, daughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, his loving sister Kate (Walter), adored grandchildren Amie, Katie, Luke, Isla, Annie, David and Nigel, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
Resting at the family home on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm. Funeral service at the family home on Tuesday 30th at 1.30 pm followed by burial in the Presbyterian graveyard, Scotshouse Road, Clones.
