It is with regret that we note the following deaths from County Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie There were no deaths reported on RIP.ie for County Cavan.

The death has occurred of Catherine (Cassie) Lennon (nee Duffy), Lisquigney, Ballybay, Co.Monaghan, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband James, her son John, her parents Hugh & Kathleen and her brother John Duffy.
Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Mary (Pearse), Martina (John), and sons Hugh Joe (Ann), Seamus, daughter in law Moya, grandchildren, Lisa, Karen, James, Katie, Sean, Aoife, Catherine, Shauna, Joseph and Mary and her great grandchildren Dylan, Cassie, Bonnie-Lou, Augustine and Ben.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace
Cassie will be reposing at her home (eircode A75WV02) on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th from 3pm - 9pm. House private at all other times.
Parking at Tullycorbet Community Centre (Eircode A75 YW53), where one way shuttle bus system will be in place to the house.
Removal on Friday morning at 11.30 am to arrive at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Tullycorbet for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Willie Vincent

Peacefully on Wednesday, 24th July 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Resting at his home.
Predeceased by his son-in-law Tommy McKeown . Willie will be dearly missed by his loving wife Hazel, daughters Yvonne (Forde), Shirley (David McCollom), Sandra (James Moffett) and Heather, also his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the entire family circle, also his many good friends and neighbours.
Funeral Service on Friday, 26th July, in Christ Church, Ballybay, eircode A75 AC99, at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Callers are welcome to the family home from 3pm until 9pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Please enter via Cuan Mhuire Ballybay side and exit via Derryvalley, Clones Road. House private on Friday please.

Upton, Wirral, and formerly of Farmeehul House, Glen Road, Monaghan Town, Monaghan
The death has occurred of our much loved, beautiful, sister Aideen on the 29th June 2024. A kind, gentle, talented, and inspirational teacher she dedicated her life to the education and betterment of the children and young adults in her charge. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Mark who passed in June 2018.
The third eldest daughter of Edward and Patricia Curran, Farmeehul House, Glen Road, (deceased) Aideen, will be missed every day by her heartbroken family, her sisters, Patricia (Tim), Denise (Ray), Angela (Vincent), Sheila, Darina (Dermot), Dervilla (Stephen), her brothers Eamonn (Mary), Michael (Janet), Kevin (Grainne), her nieces and nephews for whom she was such a source of inspiration, her many cousins, her cherished friends both in Ireland and Liverpool, and her work colleagues.
Honouring her request for a family only funeral, Aideen was buried beside her soul mate Mark in Frankby Cemetery on the Wirral on the 18th July 2024. Aideen has gone home, she is at peace.
