Generally unsettled with rain or showers at times. However, there will be dry intervals too. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann.

Sunny spells this morning but becoming cloudier from the west with scattered outbreaks of light rain and drizzle developing, mainly for the western half of the country with many eastern areas staying fully dry. Humid, with highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in mostly light to moderate southerly winds, fresher for Atlantic coastal areas.

Mild, humid and cloudy tonight with further outbreaks of rain, most frequent for Atlantic coastal counties. Temperatures not falling below 13 to 15 degrees in mostly light to moderate southerly breezes allowing patchy mist and hill fog to develop.

A dull, damp and misty start to the day tomorrow (Thursday) with outbreaks of rain, becoming patchier through the day with a clearance to hazy sunny spells gradually building in from the west through the afternoon and evening to most areas. Continuing humid with highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees with light to moderate southerly or variable breezes with some coastal fog likely for the south.

Thursday night: Dry for most with a mix of cloud and clear spells though there will be a few patches of light rain and drizzle about. Temperatures not falling below 10 to 15 degrees generally in light southwesterly or variable breezes with some mist and fog patches developing.

Friday: A mostly cloudy start with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most frequent for Atlantic coastal areas. Driest in the east and southeast with the best of any sunny spells. Humid with highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees generally with moderate southwesterly winds developing, fresher near some coasts.

Friday night: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread, turning heavy at times with a chance of spot flooding. Mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 13 to 15 degrees with mostly light southwesterly or variable winds.

Saturday: A wet start with widespread showery outbreaks of rain, heavy in places with a chance of spot flooding. Later in the day, the rain will ease from the southwest. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees with moderate, occasionally fresh northwesterly winds gradually developing.

Sunday: Any lingering rain in the north and east will clear away early in the morning to leave a largely dry day with sunny spells and well scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
