It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Philip Fitzpatrick

Bunnoe, Cavan

Philip Fitzpatrick, Liverpool and formerly Bunnoe, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co. Cavan.

Died 3 July 2024, peacefully surrounded by his family in Liverpool. Predeceased by his wife Bridie.

Philip will be forever in the hearts of his children Margaret, Gerard, Mary and Philip, grandchildren Niall, Siobhán, Liam, Ciarán, Conor and Brandon and great grandchildren Máiréad, Ruairí and Niamh.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Bridget and Peggy, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass to be held at 10am on Tuesday 16th July at Christ The King Church, Liverpool.

Funeral cortège to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Bunnoe for this Wednesday evening at 7pm, with Requiem Mass at 11am on Thursday, which can be viewed live here with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Colm Connell

55 Church Street, Cootehill, Cavan

Colm Connell 55 Church Street, Cootehill, Co. Cavan July 12th 2024 peacefully at Lisdarn Unit, Cavan surrounded by his loving daughter Justine and family. Predeceased by his parents Gerry & Bridgie Connell. Colm will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken daughter Justine, son-in-law Terence, granddaughters Kayla, Rosie and Daisy, brother Jimmy, sisters Geraldine and Vera, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home (H16 FD25) this Saturday from 4pm until 7pm.

Removal from his home on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 2 o’ clock funeral mass. Burial afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery Cootehill.

Julia de Lacy, Kilcorby, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, and formally of Doonmakiever, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan.

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Oak View Nursing Home, Belturbet.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick. (Paddy).

Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Julia will be reposing at Lawlor's funeral home, Belturbet (H14 R583) on Saturday 13th July, from 11am - 12 noon, with removal to St. Mary's Church, Staghall (H14 EO45) for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm, following by interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Glangevlin (N41 Y409) at approximately 2.45pm

Frances Dolan

Frances Dolan (née Reilly) 4 Clones Road, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by her husband John, parents Sarah and Jimmy and son-in-law Sean. Peacefully in the loving care of her family at Cavan General Hospital on 12th July 2024. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, sons John (Annette), Jimmy (Svetlana), Stan (Tony), Pat, daughters Margaret, Anita (Declan) her partner Seamus, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Anita (London), nephews, nieces relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Remains will be reposing at Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet (eircode H14 R583) on Saturday from 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm. Funeral mass at 10am on Sunday morning, 14th July, in the Church of Immaculate Conception, Belturbet with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

Nugent nee Kelly (Keady) July 14th 2024 peacefully at home Maureen RIP in her 98th year.Beloved wife of the late Emmett and devoted mother to Marie, Eamon, Kieran, Brian, Phyllis and Kenneth.Daughter of the late Myles and Maria and sister to the late Edmund and Sean RIP

Her remains will repose at her late residence 40 Victoria St Keady until removal on Tuesday to arrive at St Patrick's Church Keady for 10:30 am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the church cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her loving daughters, sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the entire family circle and many friends. On her gentle soul sweet Jesus have mercy

Frankie Corrigan

33 Carrickabolie Rd, Derrynoose, Armagh, BT603HP / Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Corrigan (Derrynoose Co Armagh) July 13th 2024, peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family Frankie RIP.

Dearly beloved husband of Noeleen and devoted father to Andrea (Trevor), Liza (Bernard), Karen(J.J), Jason (Elissa), Ciaran (Shaunagh) and Julie-Anne (Daniel).

His remains will repose at his late residence 33 Carrickabolie Rd Derrynoose from today (Saturday) until removal on Tuesday to arrive at St. Mochua's Church Derrynoose for 2pm funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, daughters, sons, grandchildren, brothers Martin, Peter and Thomas, sisters Teresa, Margaret and Bernadette, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle and many friends. On his soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Wake home is open without restrictions but private to family friends and neighbours on Tuesday please.

Beloved husband of Pauline and devoted father to Colleen (McGurgan), Shane, Liam and Grainne (McElearney). Father in law to Benny, Aideen & Garrett and cherished grandfather to Áine, Cara, Eoin, Ava, Lauren, Oran & Róise.

Predeceased by her parents John and Una Keenan.

Sadly missed by her son Joseph, sister Jane (John) and her brother Graeme (Edel), her nephew Ryan and her nieces Lucy, Ella and Erin, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Patsy Marron. Ardee Road, Carrickmacross. 12th July 2024. Peacefully, surrounded by his beloved family, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk.

Predeceased by his parents Gene & Peggy and his parents-in-law Frank & Annie Rooney.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family; his wife Marion, his sons Shane (Kadri), Pádraig (Tina) & Ross and his daughters Majella, Gráinne (Ronan) & Deirdre (Damien), his much-loved grandchildren; Ian, Liam, Cian, Nikki, Becky, Amy, Ryan, Matthew, Kate & Fionn and his great-granddaughter Mia, his brothers Gene, Tom & Paul and his sister Mary Sherlock, his extended family, friends & neighbours.

Patsy will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Sunday, 14th July, from 4pm until 7pm.

Patsy's funeral cortège will leave his home, Ardee Road, on Monday, 15th July, proceeding on foot via the Convent Hill, to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
