John Martin Hatch

Belturbet, Cavan / Malahide, Dublin

John Martin Hatch, July 10th, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in the Richmond ICU Beaumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Susan and dear father of Carol, Stephen and Deborah. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters and their partners Gerry, Freda and Manuel, his adored grandchildren Robyn, Brandon, Olwen and Aeris, brothers and sisters Norah, Eleanor, Margaret, Johnny and Paul, his former workmates in the ESB South Lotts Road, friends at Malahide Golf club and Malahide Cricket club.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin road, Cavan on Saturday, July 13th, from 12.00 noon with Cremation service and Committal at 1.00pm.

Peacefully, following a short illness in the exceptional and loving care of her family and also Mairead, the nurses and staff of Sheelin Private Nursing Home, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving children, Martin (Catherine), Tony and Sandra (David), granddaughter Ella, Sister, Millie Farrelly, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing on Friday evening at the home of her daughter and son in law, Sandra and David Ross, 'The Grove', Ballynarry, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan, A82N9F3 from 5pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 9am to arrive for Requiem Funeral Mass in St. Kilian's Church, Mullagh at 10am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Creeslough, Relaghbeg, Bailieborough, Cavan, A82R2K4 / Tierworker, Meath

John McBride, Creeslough, Relaghbeg, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and formerly of Cricklewood, London, UK, died on the 10th July 2024 peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Tessie.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his wife Cathy, sons Seán and Lochlann, sisters Mary, Pauline and Lisa, mother and father in law Muriel and Michael Hoban, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends Mickey, Eamon and families, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Friday, 12th July, from 4pm to 8pm (A82R2K4). Removal on Saturday morning at 11:40am to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Tierworker for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Moybologue Cemetery.

Maura McManus, Curratavey, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan and late of Cairdeas, Park Rd, Manorhamilton, peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on Wednesday 10th July, surrounding by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Terence and Mary McManus.

Much loved sister of Philip (Bridget), Peter, Rosaleen Rooney (Padraig), Elizabeth McCorry (Gabriel), Anne McCaffrey (Pat), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, many friends, relations and her special family at Cairdeas, Park Rd, Manorhamilton.

Maura will repose at the home of her sister Anne and brother in law Pat, at Canabo, Blacklion, Co. Cavan. F91 H426, on Friday 12th July from 5pm - 8pm, with removal to St. Patrick's Church, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan (N41 Y409) on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only. House Private at all other times.

Mary Murray (née) Lynch Gortletteragh Co Leitrim formally of Bracklin, Baileborough, Co. Cavan, July 10th 2024, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and palliative care staff of Arus Carolan Nursing Home Mohill, Predeceased by her parents Jimmy & Margaret, brothers Michael & Charlie. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Gus, sister Margaret (Newry), brothers John (Navan) & Pat (Colchester) sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81), on Friday, 12th July 2024, from 6.00pm, concluding with prayers at 8.00pm.

House private please except to neighbours and close friends. Funeral Mass at St Mary's church Gortletteragh on Saturday 13th July, at 12 Noon , with burial afterwards in Farnaught Cemetery.

James (Jim) Smith

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Smith, Mullagh Road, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Peacefully at home, in the loving care of Geraldine & Olive. Predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary Frances and brother-in-law Ned.

Jim will be sadly missed by his niece Geraldine, her husband Stephen and their children Abbie, Bobby, Sarah, Lillie and James, his brother Simon, sister-in-law Marian, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Family would like to thank his carer Eileen and the Palliative Care Team who looked after Jim in his final weeks.

Jim will be reposing at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia (A82 C2N6) this Friday evening, July 12th from 5pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am in Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia with burial afterwards in Maghera Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Patricia Hoey (née Reynolds) of Cornamunady, Monaghan Town and formerly Sonnaghconnor, Aughavas, County Leitrim.

Retired teacher, St. Louis Secondary School, Monaghan.

Died peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack and infant daughter Niamh.

Daughter of the late Julia and Francis Reynolds.

Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sons Ciarán and Fiachra, her daughter Aisling, daughters in law Fiona and Claire, son in law Edward, grandchildren Thea, Alex and Tadhg, sister Bridgie, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and her many neighbours and friends.

May Patricia rest in eternal peace.

The death has occurred of John Tom McAloon, Knockatallon, Co. Monaghan, (H18 RY26) and formerly of McAloon's Shop, Knockatallon, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness bravely borne, Wednesday 10th July 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Daniel McAloon and his sister Mary Ann Mc Ginnity.

Cherished and much loved partner of Nora. John Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his partner Nora, son Dean, step-daughter Tanya, adored grandchildren Jake and Lauren, his brothers Joe and Danny, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours, friends near and far and by all who knew and loved John Tom.

John Tom will repose at the family home, Knockatallon, H18 RY26, on Thursday (11th) from 4pm to 9pm and again on Friday (12th) from 2pm to 9pm with removal on Saturday morning (13th) at approx 11.30am to arrive at St Joseph's Chapel, Knockatallon, for 12noon Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Urbleshanny Cemetery, Scotstown.
