Status Yellow - Rain warning for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary, Waterford

Today rain in the south and east of Ulster will gradually extend northwestwards to all areas. The rain will be heavy at times with localised flooding possible. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with moderate to fresh northeast winds.

Tonight, rain will continue. It will become lighter overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees with moderate northwesterly winds.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) will continue mostly cloudy with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with moderate to fresh northwest winds.

Nationally it will become drier, but still a few showers. Temperatures of 15 to 10 degrees.

Wednesday night: Cloudy conditions in the north along with patchy rain and drizzle will move southwards during the night. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in light to moderate north or northwest winds.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy at first with some patchy light rain or drizzle. It will brighten up with sunny spells developing and a few showers in the east. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees with light to moderate northerly winds, fresher along northern and exposed Atlantic coasts.

Friday will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells and a few showers, these most likely in the east. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with mostly light northerly breezes.

Saturday will bring sunny spells and well scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with light variable breezes.

At the moment, it looks like Sunday will start off mainly dry, but rain will move up from the south later in the day. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with mostly light winds.
