Man arrested in connection with Clones death
A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Clones, Co Monaghan, on Saturday, June 2 last.
Investigating gardaí arrested a man yesterday (Wednesday).
The male, aged in his 40s, was arrested contrary to Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997 and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Co. Monaghan.
An Garda Síochána continue to appeal to any persons with any information on this incident to contact them in confidence.
The dead man was found at a residence on the Diamond in Clones at around 10pm on Saturday, June 1.
Following a technical exam, gardaí at the time said they were investigating “all the circumstances” surrounding the discovery of the body.
