Dry day ahead with long spells of hazy sunshine

Today will be a dry day with long spells of hazy sunshine in light westerly or variable breezes. Possibly turning cloudier later in the west and northwest. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, coolest near Atlantic coasts.

Dry with clear spells for most of the country. Turning cloudier in the west and northwest with isolated patches of light rain and drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light variable breeze.

Tomorrow will be mostly dry with sunny spells, though it will be cloudier in the west and northwest with isolated light patches of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, warmest away from Atlantic coastal counties, in a light southwest breeze.

Rain will slowly spread from the Atlantic overnight on Thursday, though parts of the east and southeast will stay dry. Mild with lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees, in light to moderate southerly winds, freshening along coasts.

A wet and overcast day is expected Friday with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west through the day. The rain will clear eastwards to sunny spells and scattered showers later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds.

Rain will linger in the east for a time overnight on Friday, with long clear spells elsewhere. Temperatures not falling below 10 to 14 degrees, with light westerly winds.

Mainly dry on Saturday with spells of sunshine and a few showers. Warm with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees, with light westerly breezes.

Cloudier on Sunday with light rain spreading eastwards, giving way to spells of sunshine later on. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees, with light westerly or variable breezes.

Current indications suggest that it will remain settled into the early days of next week. Warm with daytime temperatures in the low to mid twenties.
