Here comes the Summer Cottage Market

Cavan’s Summer Cottage Market returns this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16, 2024, with over 50 local vendors specialising in artisan food, crafts, and art showcasing their exceptional talent and skills in the beautiful surrounds of Con Smith Park, Cathedral Road, Cavan.

Explore the food court area featuring honey, cheese, ice cream, cakes, and locally crafted cordials from artisan producers. Indulge in The Cottage Market's growing street food menu at the DineYard, where you can savour both sweet and savoury dishes.

Support your local community this summer with a visit to the Craft and Art Marquee. Thirty talented Cavan-based crafters and artists will fill this space with stunning gifts, from handmade wreaths and knitwear to candles, paintings, soaps, and more.

Music and entertainment will be provided by a host of Cavan musicians, and there will be a host of activities for children. An outdoor seating area will create the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to experience the culture and community spirit of our county.

This year, the Cottage Market is introducing a new area that includes health practices such as yoga, Pilates, HIIT workouts, and holistic mini treatments.

This is a free event, and parking is available at Cavan Institute. Visitors are encouraged to walk or cycle to this event where possible and to bring a picnic blanket and embrace our ‘outdoor summer’ with nature and local food.

This fully outdoor market is presented by The Cottage Market Cavan and supported by Cavan County Council through Created in Cavan, This Is Cavan!, and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
