An unsettled week ahead

Weatherwise, it’s going to be fairly unsettled for the rest of the week. Today will be mainly cloudy with the odd light shower possible.

A few sunny spells will develop in the afternoon but cloud will thicken from the Atlantic once again in the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees in light westerly winds.

It will become wet and overcast tonight as rain spreads eastwards across the country, turning heavy at times. It will turn blustery too as southerly winds freshen with the rain. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees.

Meanwhile, Thursday will be a wet day with widespread rain, turning heavy at times in the west and southwest. The rain will gradually clear northeastwards through the afternoon and evening with scattered showers and a few sunny spells following from the west.

Friday will begin with fresh southerly winds, veering westerly and easing moderate once the rain clears. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
