Cash and cannabis seized

Gardaí have seized €2,000 of suspected cannabis and €36,000 in cash following a raid at a Cavan Town residence over the weekend.

The search was conducted on Saturday, June 8, as part of Operation Tara. During the search, gardaí recovered cash amounting to €36,000 and a quantity of cannabis valued at €2,000 (analysis pending).

A man in his late 20s was arrested and subsequently charged to appear before the courts at a later date.

Investigations are ongoing.
