Patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle today

Showers or outbreaks of light rain at times, most often affecting the north and west where it will also be coolest. Drier with closer to average temperatures in the south. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann.

Sunny spells in the East to begin. Overall cloudy today with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle gradually moving down from the Northwest. Southern and Eastern counties will see small amounts of precipitation with some areas staying fully dry. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh westerly breezes. It will be coolest across the Northwest with mildest and driest conditions in the Southeast.

Tonight will bring a mix of long dry spells and showery outbreaks of rain, most frequent early on in the West and North. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light to moderate westerly wind.

Sunny spells and well scattered showers at first on Saturday. Dry by late morning with good spells of sunshine developing with any showers limited to northern fringes. Feeling pleasantly mild in the afternoon sunshine. Highest temperatures of 13 to 19 degrees, best values across southeast counties, all in a moderate northwesterly wind.

Mostly dry with clear spells early on Saturday night. Cloud will increase over the northern half of the country overnight, bringing some outbreaks of rain. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in a light to moderate west to northwest wind.

A generally cloudy day across the country on Sunday. Patchy rain and drizzle will push into the west and northwest on Sunday morning, eventually extending eastwards but remaining mostly dry in the south and southeast. Cooler on Sunday with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees generally but possibly reaching 15 or 16 degrees in the south, all in a moderate northwesterly breeze.

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread eastwards overnight on Sunday. Drier over Ulster overnight with some clear spells and isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees in a light to moderate northwesterly wind.

Rain will clear southwards Monday morning leaving a largely bright day with sunshine and showers. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, warmest in the south, in a light to moderate northerly breeze.

Largely dry overnight on Monday with clear spells although cloudy over parts of Ulster with isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light northerly breeze.

Cloud and scattered showers will extend from the north Tuesday morning. The showers will ease through the day to leave a largely dry evening with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees, possibly cooler along the north coast, in a light to moderate northerly breeze.
