ETB advertises €4M school tender

Cavan-Monaghan Education and Training Board (ETB) is looking to establish an agreement for the provision of general construction and maintenance related services for local schools across the regions.

The estimated €4 million contract, that runs for two years, is being advertised in two lots - Cavan and Monaghan.

The proposed contract sets out the need for applicants to be proficient in construction work for school buildings, both primary and secondary, for special educational needs, as well as on buildings of further education, roof works and other special trade construction works, and finally repair and maintenance services.

The ETB is already currently overseeing the delivery of an estimated €200M worth of building projects across the two counties.

In Monaghan meanwhile the department issued a letter of intent from for a new school building for Gaelscoil Lorgan in Monaghan. It will include eight new classrooms and two special education teaching rooms, staff room, storage, toilets, offices, and multi-purpose room.
