Cavan town restaurant wins takeaway of the year accolade

Chilli Lounge has won numerous awards for its cusine.

A Cavan town Indian restaurant has just clinched yet another cuisine award, this time for the Best Takeaway of the Year at the All-Ireland Food Awards in the Crown Plaza Hotel in Dublin.

The owners of Chilli Lounge along Cavan town’s main thoroughfare feel “lucky and delighted” to have achieved success on the national food stage and are very grateful to the “wonderful customers” that return time and again to the much-loved local restaurant.

Meanwhile, it’s the fusion of authentic Indian flavours and Irish ingredients that has turned Chilli Lounge into a premier fine dining destination where dishes are prepared with care and with the finest ingredients and authentic combination of spices.

The restaurant has won numerous awards over the years including Best Newcomer, Best Indian Cuisine, Best World Cuisine and Best Indian Restaurant in Ulster.

Speaking to the Anglo Celt, Raju Rashed Hasan said: “It's just great to get another award for our food. People are coming to our restaurant from all over Co Cavan and we are very grateful to them for their support.”

Chilli Lounge was established in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength in the intervening years.
