Status Yellow weather warning issued

The council has warned the public of a status yellow thunderstorm warning is now in place for County Cavan.

The warning, issued by Met Eireann earlier, is effective until 9pm.

Heavy downpours and thunderstorms may result in spot flooding, difficult traveling conditions, and poor visibility are expected.
