Gardaí appeal for witness following Ballinalee road crash

Collision happened on Sunday shortly after 11:30pm.

Gardaí in Longford are appealing for witnesses after “a serious injury road traffic collision” in Ballinalee on Sunday, May 12 shortly after 11:30pm.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the single-car collision on a local road at Esker Cross in Ballinalee. The four occupants of the car were taken by ambulance to Tullamore and Mullingar regional hospitals for assessment. One male and a female in their 20s are currently being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The scene is being examined by Garda Forensic Collision investigators and the local traffic diversions are in place. Meanwhile, gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Additionally, road users who have camera footage including dashcam recordings from the area at the time are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
