Investigation launched in Ballyhaise following car thefts

A man in his 40s is being questioned.

Gardaí in Cavan have launched an investigation after a spate of thefts from vehicles in Ballyhaise during the early hours of this morning.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently being detained at a local garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with any information to contact Cavan Garda Station on 049 436 8800; the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111; or any Garda station. Meanwhile, investigations in to the matter are continuing.
