The Cavan Women in Business Network's April event was both empowering and informative for the 60 plus business women who attended the event in the Hotel Kilmore last Wednesday, April 24. An initiative of the Local Enterprise Office, Cavan, this booked-out event heard also allowed network members to introduce their business offering in a ‘Show and Tell’ segment.
Guest speakers Fiona Colwell of Simply Style by Fi, a personal stylist and image consultant, joined forces with Catherine Reynolds from Charles Fay Fashions, Cavan, to deliver a workshop on the ‘Power of Personal Style for Self Confidence’ to help boost professional presence through personal style.
Both Fiona and Catherine are members of Cavan Women in Business Network.
Carole Beattie, chair of Cavan Branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland was invited to address the event to outline details of an initiative to make Cavan the first fully Dementia-Inclusive County in Ireland.
Carole received great support from the business women in the room with many completing expressions of interest forms signifying their willingness to be involved in the initiative.
In her address, Gillian Madden, Senior Enterprise Development Officer, LEO Cavan, said: “We are delighted to support the Cavan Women in Business Network and we are dedicated to continuing to create a supportive and empowering environment for women entrepreneurs.”
Margaret McKeon-Boyle, Extensive PR coordinates the Cavan Women in Business Network on behalf of LEO Cavan was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
Cavan Women in Business Network (CWBN) meet a number of times during the year and are inviting any woman who is in business, or considering starting a business, to join them.
