HSE to readvertise GP position in Swanlinbar
The post is expected to be advertised in the coming weeks
The HSE has confirmed this evening that it will re-advertise the position of permanent GP in Swanlinbar.
These latest developments came through Fianna Fáil's Deputy Brendan Smith who highlighted the determination of the local community to have a GP assigned to the area.
He also highlighted how the post will be advertised in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, two weeks ago, the HSE confirmed that it had planned to launch a pilot GP service in Swanlinbar shortly. That is now off the table, it is understood.
The health body has said it was committed to the “continuance and provision” of a GP service in the west Cavan village since the last permanent GP retired there in 2020.
