McManus set to boost coffers of Cavan GAA clubs - again

Limerick billionaire's donation welcomed.

GAA clubs in Cavan are set to benefit once again from the the generosity of Limerick business JP McManus.

Billionaire financier McManus is set to donate €1 million to every GAA Co Board in the country from his JP McManus Charitable Foundation.

Much like the figure of €100,000 McManus donated to every GAA Co Board in 2018 in the aftermath of Limerick's first All-Ireland SHC triumph in 45 years, it is expected that the donation will be divided equally amongst GAA, camogie and LGFA clubs.

As Limerick sponsor, the financier and racehorse owner has been a huge benefactor of Gaelic games in his native county … but now every corner of Ireland is poised to benefit from his largesse, in a donation rising to around €32m.

Limerick GAA confirmed that it has received a €1m donation from JP and Noreen McManus and family, to be distributed evenly to the GAA, camogie and ladies football clubs within the county.
