Noeleen Daly, Gia O’Corry-Crowe and Yvonne Seymour are wishing their members a very happy Christmas from all at the Shercock branch of Castleblayney Credit Union.

Credit Union branching out

The merging of Shercock and Castleblayney Credit Unions in September has been positive for both branches, according to Patrick Conlan CEO of Castleblayney Credit Union.

“It was obvious the cultures of both were aligned and were a good fit,” he explained.

Shercock has had a strong membership since they opened in the 1980s and we’re excited to join with Castleblayney and avail of additional services.

Mr Conlan outlines some of the new products and services that have been introduced.

“We’ve launched current accounts with a globally accepted debit and master and or a digital wallet. Our mobile apps and online-banking also give members access to their finances 24/7.

“We also have a wide range of personal and cultivated agri-lending loans,” he outlined.

The CEO says that these new measures compliment excellent member services.

“We can give members access to two branches, with increased opening hours. We have excellent staff who will work with customers on a one-on-one basis.

“You don’t always get that with financial services, but credit unions have been rated top for customer experience for eight or nine years in a row,” he revealed.

Mr Conlan concluded by thanking the customers for the business over the last 12 months.

“We’d like to wish all of our customers a happy Christmas and new year and thank them for their business, especially our new customers from the Shercock branch.”
