Stephen O’Neill set up Clean Machine Valeting & Detailing after seeing a niche in the market in early 2022. It’s a fully mobile valeting and detailing service in which Stephen travels to customers’ homes and workplaces to provide a range of services that include a standard valet; ceramic coatings; and polishing on their vehicles.
The company also provides a monthly maintenance service and Stephen uses a fully-equipped van with a wide range of equipment and products to ensure a high-quality service for his customers.
“I have always had a passion for cars; two years ago, I went to the UK and trained with the best in the industry,” he said.
“I gained experience and set up my own business. The most popular service is the deep clean and interior and exterior valeting. I work with everything from motor bikes to farm machinery,” he outlined at the Pitch Night for this year’s business awards. Based in Castletara, Stephen focuses on a quality service that doesn’t disappoint.
“High quality work is essential to growing my business.
“I also provide a service to customers from the comfort of their own homes or businesses. I want to expand the business and hope to employ people from the local area,” he said.
Stephen pointed out that his business model provides a hassle free service for his customers, where convenience and quality of service are paramount. Thus, being fully mobile allows him to travel to wherever his customers need him.
“I noticed that this was not a service that was being provided locally and it was something I could achieve through hard work and determination,” he explained.
“I’m the only provider of this service in the Cavan area. The best business advice I’ve ever been told is to do every job like it’s your last.
“If you provide a service that’s convenient for a customer, keep the standard high and provide after care services, your business will grow.
“Word of mouth is a massive part in the growth of my business.”
Stephen hopes to expand in 2024 and expects the business to go from strength to strength.
“I hope to have another van on the road and employees from the local area to allow more customers avail of the services,” he added. “We also plan to bring a detailing unit in our local area so we can offer both services to our customers.”
