Little Blue Heroes switch on Cavan lights

Members of Cavan's Little Blue Heroes helped turn on the county town's Christmas Lights during last weekend's Christmas Markets with the help of Santa Claus.

The effort was supported by the Cavan Town Team.

Before Santa arrived the Honorary Gardai were asked to help apprehend a man in a hat who had run away with a raffle prize from one of the stalls. After been shown a photograph of him they went off in their search before locating him at Market Square agreeing to let him go only if he did a magic trick for them. The man gifted the Honorary Gardai with magic star lights to help them turn on the Christmas lights.

Santa then visited at the Farnham Arms Hotel where the each member received Sarah’s Christmas Gift before dinner.

Little Blue Heroes, which provides practical and financial support to families of children who have serious illnesses in Ireland, also welcomed to the ranks H/Garda Philip Quinn from Kilnaleck who also helped out on the night along with H/Garda Leah, Max and Ryan.
