Vehicles seized in ‘boy racer’ crackdown

A number of road traffic violations were detected and two vehicles seized following a cross border policing operation at the weekend.

On Saturday night into Sunday, November 25-26, members of the PSNI and An Garda Síochána in Clones disrupted a 'boy racers meet' along the A3/N54.

Along with the detections and vehicle seizures, follow up inquiries are also taking place.

“This behaviour continues to cause significant distress to local residents,” say gardaí, who further state that such incidents can result in delays to the Ambulance service responding to emergency calls.
