Funding deadline approaches for Bailieboro town plans

The deadline for Town and Village Renewal funding that should further enhance the centre of Bailieborough is set to close later this week.

Bailieborough was selected as one of the first 26 towns to receive €100,000 in funding to complete a Town Centre First Plan. .

Friday, November 10 is the cut off point for applications under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

A spokesperson for the Department of Rural and Community Development confirmed that the Bailieborough plan has been “completed” and that “final grant funding for the completion of the plan has been drawn down from the Department”.

They added that “key projects” have been identified by the Town Team and Town Regeneration Officer for Cavan as part of that process, and that these may now be put forward for various funding opportunities, including but not limited Town and Village but also the upcoming Rural Regeneration and Development Fund Category 1 call.
