Gardaí report an unusually "quiet" bank holiday weekend
“A small bit of public order but that’s not unusual.”
A “quiet weekend” has been reported by gardaí following the Halloween bank holiday.
Halloween for the past number of years has been a busy time for an Garda Síochána, however 2023 proved to be a lot more tame than usual.
A spokesperson for the gardaí told the Celt, “it has been a reasonably quiet weekend.
“A small bit of public order but that’s not unusual.”
Surprised, the spokesperson continued “for Halloween weekend, there has been no damage, nothing like that, no burglaries, a few drunk drivers.”
