It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Mel McCormack

London and formerly of Snakeel, Killeshandra, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mel McCormack, Leyton, London and formerly of Snakeel, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan.

Peacefully, at the Margaret Centre, Leyton, following a short illness. Predeceased by his father Eugene and sister Sinead (infant). Mel will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Lisa, children Ciara and Christopher, mother Rose, brothers Colm, Kieran (Carmel), Brendan (Ann), sisters Rita, Fiona Nulty (Garrett), nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, mother-in-law Peggy and friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Patrick Cumiskey

Drumganus, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Patrick Cumiskey. Drumganus, Broomfield, Castleblayney. 14th October 2023. Suddenly, at his home.

Predeceased by his infant daughter Shannon and his father Patrick.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family; his wife Patricia, his sons Matthew, Dylan (Hannah), Patrick & Diarmuid, his mother Susan, his brother Damien (Patricia) and his sisters Maud (Jim) & Patricia (Anthony), his parents-in-law Paddy & Josie Daly, Patricia's sisters Caroline (Ernesto) & Olivia (Alan), his nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, friends & neighbours.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Patrick will repose at his home, Drumganus, among family and close friends on Tuesday, 24th October, from 3pm until 8pm. House private at all other times.

Patrick's funeral cortège will leave his home on Wednesday, 25th October, proceeding to St. Patrick's Church, Broomfield, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Patrick's new Cemetery.
