Forecast good for Championship final day

Today will be mainly dry across Ulster with bright or sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 11 or 12 degrees with light to moderate variable or southeast breezes.

From 1pm until 6pm the forecast for Cavan town has zero chance of rain, with temperatures ranging from 10ºC-12ºC, and winds ranging from 5-9km/h.

It's perfect conditions as Kingspan Breffni hosts the Minor Championship Final of Mullahoran and Cavan Gaels from 1.45pm; the senior final pits Kingscourt against the reigning champions Gowna at 4pm.

Much of tonight will be dry with clear spells, cloud will increase from the south overnight and a few showers will develop. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees with light east to southeast breezes freshening overnight.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with spells of rain gradually extending over the south and west of the province and becoming heavy at times with localised flooding possible. The north and northeast of the region will stay mainly dry through the morning and afternoon. Rain will develop here towards evening. But amounts will be small. Highest temperatures of 11 or 12 degrees with moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
