Seamus Fay, (Lilter) and former Bus Eireann, Drumconnick, Cavan, October 18th 2023, peacefully, in the loving care of his family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital, in his 91st year. Beloved son of the late James and Kathleen Fay, Drumconnick, Cavan, much loved and adored brother of Rita Duggan, Ballyhaise, Donal, Drumconnick, Kitty Quinn, New York, Eileen Sheridan, Newtownbutler, Owen Fay, New York, brothers in law Sean, Tom and the late Martin Quinn, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, his many, many friends in Comhaltas, throughout the Island of Ireland and overseas, his neighbours and his many friends. May He Rest In Peace

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan (H12C821), this evening (Thursday) from 6pm until 9pm and again on Friday evening from 6pm until 9pm. Removal on Saturday to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm, via Drumconnick. Following Mass, the cortege will travel to St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Killygarry, for committal prayers and burial in the family plot, with his beloved parents. The death has occurred of Pat Hetherton, The Hill, Knocktemple, Virginia peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Recently predeceased by his sister, Sr. Teresita (Dell). Much loved husband of Joan and much loved father of Geraldine, Ann, Paraic, Ruth and Paul. Sadly missed by his wife, his sons and daughters, his grandchildren Ryan, Michael, Sarah, Conor, Gráinne, Jason, Patrick, Lauren, Eoin, Hannah, John, Killian and Ella, his daughters in law Geraldine and Andrea, his sons in law Bob and Justin, his sisters Olive Smith (Rahard, Carnaross) and Sr. Olive (Patsy; Sion Hill, Blackrock), nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Remains reposing at Matthews' Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5 o'clock until prayers at 8 o'clock. Removal to St. Bartholomew's Church, Munterconnaught, on Saturday arriving for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mary WHELAN (née Cusack)

Virginia, Cavan / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan / Churchtown, Dublin

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of Belmont House Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Aidan and brother Barry. Much loved mother of Caoimhe, Ruth and Gavin. Very sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Ronan and David, daughter-in-law Hilary, grandchildren Ruairí, Lorcan, Orlagh, Richard and Fionn, sisters Annette, Clare and Elizabeth, brothers Andrew and Paddy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. The death has occurred of Bas Wiebenga, Lakeview, Virginia, Co. Cavan and proprietor of Sushi- Mania Kitchen, Main Street, Virginia, unexpectedly at Cavan General Hospital on 18 October 2023. Much loved and cherished partner of Jolita and loving father to Benjamin, Gabriel, Elliott, Solita, Karolina, Elloise, Reuben and Caitlin. Much loved and sadly missed by Jolita, his children, his mother Femmie, his sisters, nieces, nephews, Emma, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Josephine Meegan (née O'Neill)

Magheraboy, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Josephine Meegan (née O'Neill). Magheraboy, Carrickmacross. 17th October 2023. Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her husband Frank, her son Eamonn, her grandson Sean, her parents Edward & Margaret, her sister Philomena Callan, her infant sister Margaret Mary & her brother Edward. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family; her daughter Maureen and her son Brendan, her son-in-law Oliver, her grandchildren, her sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.
