Veronica (Vee) Cannings

(née Nolan)

Cooleen, Loch Gowna, Cavan

Died Saturday 14th October 2023, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her sister Deirdre. Veronica will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, husband Alan, daughter Jessica, her adored granddaughter Veronica (Nica), sisters Teresa and Jenny, brothers David and Gary, step-children Jacqui and Stuart, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, Granard, Co. Longford (eircode N39AX97) on Tuesday, the 17th of October, from 6.30pm to 8pm. Removal from Smith’s Funeral Home on Wednesday morning, the 18th, to the Church of the Holy Family, Loch Gowna, Co. Cavan for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by cremation service at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan, at 1pm (eircode H12RF78).

David James Morgan

Ballyhaise, Cavan / Clogherhead, Louth

David James, Morgan, (Ballyhaise Co. Cavan and Murrays Cross, Co. Louth), October 14th 2023, peacefully, in his 90th year, in the exceptional care of the staff of Mount Hybla Nursing Home, Castleknock surrounded by his family. Loving father of Jacinta, David and Shane; predeceased by his wife Josephine, son Thomas, sisters Ann (Nancy) and Mary Teresa (May). He will be deeply missed by his sisters Bridget Philomena, Cecilia and Regina, extended family, friends, neighbours and former colleagues.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Ardclough Road, Celbridge, Co. Kildare (Eircode W23 AK13) on Tuesday evening (17th October) from 6pm until 8pm. Removal to S. S. Peter & Paul’s Church, Walshestown, Co. Louth on Wednesday afternoon (18th October) arriving for Requiem Mass at 1.00pm followed by burial in Rathdrumin Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Breda Sheridan (née Nevin),

Curragh Park, Mullagh, Co. Cavan

and formerly of

Carrickspringan, Moynalty, Co. Meath,

peacefully, surrounded by her loving family

at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan on Sunday 15th October 2023.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Jimmy, her parents Terence and Brigid Nevin

and her baby sister Mary.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Aisling, Kate and Sinéad, her sons–in–law Enda, Ollie and Emmett

her loved and adored grandchildren:

Cathal, Eimear, George, Dan, Jill and Jamie

John McCabe

Corlat, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of John Mc Cabe unexpectedly but peacefully at his home, Corlat, Monaghan Town on Saturday, 14th October. He will be missed by his partner Margaret, his brother Anthony, family circle & friends.

John's funeral Mass will be celebrated in St Macartan's Cathedral on Tuesday 17th at 2pm, with burial afterwards in Laturcan Cemetery.

Margaret McQuillan

(née Kelly)

Tullygoney, Tydavnet, Monaghan, H18 XY16

The death has occurred of Margaret McQuillan (nee Kelly), Tullygoney, Tydavnet, Co.Monaghan, H18 XY16, Sunday 15th October, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family in her 104th year.

Pre-deceased by her husband Jimmy, son Harry and infant daughter Mary, parents Henry & Margaret, sisters Mary, Delia & Kathleen and brother Jemmy.

Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Seamus (Margaret), Michael, Martin (Ethna) and daughter Margaret (Tom), her 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters Patricia McGovern & Agnes Kelly, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Margaret's remains will repose at her residence from 5pm Monday until removal on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm to arrive at St.Mary's Church, Urbleshanny for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am. Burial afterwards in St.Dympna's Cemetery, Tydavnet.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Tydavnet Faith and Light c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

Please note, there will be a shuttle bus in operation from St Dympna's Church car park, Tydavnet, from 6pm Monday evening.
