Last chance for Monaghan Lotto millionaire to claim prize

Players in Emyvale urged to check their tickets from August 19th draw

Time is running out for one lotto player in County Monaghan to claim their €1M prize.

Lotto players in the Farney county are being urged to check their tickets very carefully as one Emyvale player has yet to come forward and has until Friday, November 17, to do so.

The Lotto Plus Raffle draw from Saturday, August 19, made one lucky player at the local Centra a millionaire.

The raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but that particular draw saw one ticket win an additional prize of €1M due to a special raffle event.

The winning Raffle number was: 3249

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Thursday, August 17, at Centra on Main Street in Emyvale, Co Monaghan.

Shop owner Glyn Williams is now encouraging all of his customers to check their tickets as soon as possible as one player is now a millionaire: "We just hope that the winner does make contact with the National Lottery soon and collect their prize. They might not even know that they have a ticket that’s now worth €1 million. If they haven’t realised their luck just yet, they are in for a huge surprise!”

A National Lottery spokesperson is also urging all Lotto players to check their old tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out on this life-changing prize.

“The Drumlin County player purchased their ticket on Thursday 17th August at the Centra store on the Main Street in Emyvale for the 19th August draw. We are hoping that this may sound familiar to a player out there and that they come forward soon to claim their life-changing prize. As with all of our games, ticketholders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prize which means that the winner has just over four weeks left as the claim deadline is close of business on Friday 17th November.”

The winner is advised to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to come to Lotto HQ and claim their €1 million prize.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago. In 2022 alone, €259 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.

The National Lottery urges people to play their games responsibly - play for fun.
