Lisa to play Sinead O'Connor celebration gig
Ballyhaise singer joins John Spillane on TG4 on Sunday, 9:30pm.
Lisa O'Neill will be among a host of other Irish acts who will play a Celebration of Sinéad O’Connor gig taking place later this month.
The October 19 event at Dun Laoghaire’s Pavilion Theatre, is being organised by promoters Foggy Notions and will also feature the likes of Soda Blonde, Una Mullally, Niamh Regan, Aoife Wolf, Iona Zajac and more.

Shuhada' Sadaqat, known and loved as Sinéad O'Connor, sadly passed away July 26, 2023.
Born in Glenageary, Sinéad left an eternal influence on global music culture.
“The outpouring of grief and gratitude from the international music community has been deeply moving but not unexpected,” states the blurb for the show. “At home in Ireland, Sinéad, for many people, represents change and courage - someone who fearlessly challenged and confronted many of the ills of Irish society, standing up for vulnerable communities, and constantly petitioning for a more progressive and empathetic country.”
On a personal level Lisa will join fellow singer-songwriter John Spillane on Comhluadar Ceoil on TG4 on Sunday night, 9:30pm. The Irish speaking music series sees Dáithí Ó Sé meets with some of Ireland's musical bands and families and this week Dáithí meets Spillane and guests for chat and music.
Ballyhaise native Lisa started her Autumn tour earlier this week in Galway.
