Several of the stars involved already helped make dreams come true for little Daire O'Gorman.

Soon after the young Monaghan boy's passion for football inspired so many, with videos of his emotional reaction to watching his beloved Liverpool watched millions of times, the Little Blue Hero was invited to attend crunch European qualifier by the FAI.

Before the match former Liverpool players Ray Houghton and Ronnie Whelan took time out to meet Daire and his dad in person, and sign some Liverpool and Ireland memorabilia for the Honorary Garda for Cavan-Monaghan.

Keith Hill, a member of the Monaghan Branch of Liverpool's Supporters Club, was involved in arranging the surprise day out.

Garda Divisional Roads Policing DMR South Central also assisted with Daire's transport logistics to the Avia Stadium
