Patrick Tierney

Lattaglohan, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Wednesday, October 4th, peacefully in his 97th year, surrounded by his loving family and the caring staff at Virginia Community Health Centre.

Predeceased by his wife Marie, his brothers and sister.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughters Veronica, Cathrina, Annette, Siobhan, Clare, Pauline and his son Patrick, sons in law, daughter in law, his fourteen adored grandchildren and great-granddaughter, his brother and sisters, his sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, many good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Matthews' funeral home, Virginia (A82YV58), on Thursday from 4pm to 6pm with removal to St. Dympna’s Church, Upper Lavey, arriving at 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon with burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

Padraig (Pat) Nealon

Australia and late of Barrack Hill, Belturbet, Cavan / Garrison, Fermanagh

Wednesday, October 4th, peacefully in Australia, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary Nealon and sister Teresa Gilcreest.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Irene, daughter Tracey, grandson Kane, nephew Fr. Martin Gilcreest PP, Laragh, Stradone, relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass will take place in Garrison, Co. Fermanagh at a later date.

Cecelia Mulvaney (née Quinn)

Mountain View Drive, Bray, Wicklow / Bailieborough, Cavan

Formerly of Relaghbeg, Co. Cavan. Died October 3rd, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Marymount Care Centre, Lucan.

Beloved wife of John, dearest mother of Yvonne, JP and Gráinne, remembered with love by her twin sister Philomena, brother TP and John Fox, sons-in-law Tony and Terence, daughter-in-law Deirdre, grandchildren Anna, Aoibhinn, Eoin, Olan, Oisín and Fionn, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Thursday evening (October 5th) from 6pm to 8pm (house private outside of these times).

Funeral Mass on Friday morning (October 6th) at 11am in St. Fergal’s Church, Ballywaltrim, Bray, after which Cecelia will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Greystones.

Predeceased by her parents James & Katie, her brother James Pat and her nephew James.

She will be sadly missed by her brother Charlie, nieces Anne, Kathleen & Margaret Mary, her nephew Patrick, the Sisters of Mercy, her extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smiths Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim (N41 TD62) this Friday evening (6th Oct) from 4pm until 7pm.

Removal from her residence in Dun na Bó on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in the Mercy plot in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore. Funeral Mass may be viewed on www.churchtv.ie/ballinamore

Úna Winifred Tierney (née Hennelly)

Wednesday, October 4th of Úna Winifred Tierney (née Hennelly), formerly of of Brownsgrove, Tuam, Co. Galway and Rochestown, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath; peacefully, in her 96th year, in the loving care of the staff of the Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham.

Predeceased by her husband Willie, brothers, Richard, Paddy, John, Joe and sister Mary. Sadly missed by her sons Paddy, Michael and Liam, daughters Mary, Nora, Kathleen and Breda, sons-in-law Mossy, Gerry and Milo, daughters-in-law Theresa, Natascha and Bernadine, sister Breege, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home in Rochestown, Castlepollard (N91 EK46) on Friday, October 6th from 3pm to 7pm.

Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coole on Saturday, October 7th, arriving for 12 noon Funeral Mass.
