Liffey Meats earn environmental award

Ballyjamesduff-based meat processor recognised for utilising their land and engaging farmers to enhance biodiversity.

Lidl Ireland were delighted to award ‘Environmental Champion Supplier of the Year’ to their Cavan-based supplier Liffey Meats at the Lidl Sustainability Summit 2023 last week.

The discount retailer recognised the Ballyjamesduff-based meat processor for utilising their land and engaging farmers to enhance biodiversity.

Liffey Meats were one of more than 100 of Lidl’s suppliers who attended its annual Sustainability Summit in the retailer’s Dublin Head Office last week where Lidl held educational sessions delivered by industry experts on critical upcoming sustainability topics.

The focus of the event was to support Lidl's supplier network on their sustainability journey.
