Wet and windy end to weekend

Turning wet and windy today. Some heavy showers at first with rain moving up from the south later in the morning, heavy or intense at times, causing localised flooding, particularly in the west of the province. The rain will clear northeastwards through the evening with scattered showers following, some of these heavy and possibly thundery. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds developing.

Clear spells with scattered showers, turning heavier during the night. Temperatures not falling below 11 to 13 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds, strong near exposed coasts.

Breezy tomorrow with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Scattered blustery showers in the morning will be heaviest and most frequent in the west of the province. During the afternoon, the showers will become more isolated. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty south to southwest winds.

: Largely dry at first with clear spells before a band of heavy, showery rain moves in from the Atlantic, tracking eastwards though staying mostly dry in the east and northeast till morning. Temperatures not falling below 11 to 13 degrees in fresh and gusty southerly winds.

Rain in the morning will continue to track eastwards, clearing into the Irish Sea by lunchtime. Sunny spells and scattered showers will follow from the west, some heavy with the chance of thunderstorms. The showers will become more isolated through the evening, mostly confined to the northwest. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southwesterly winds.

Showers in northwest at first, mostly dry with clear skies elsewhere. Cloud will build from the south early in the night with rain following, becoming widespread and heavy by morning as south to southeast winds strengthen. Lowest temperatures early in the night of 6 to 10 degrees.

A very windy or stormy day as a depression tracks northeastwards across the country with potentially damaging gusts, especially in the southwest. Widespread heavy falls of rain will lead to flooding in places. As the depression clears northeastwards later, the rain will clear with easing winds. Highest temperatures generally of 14 to 17 degrees.

Likely dry for most at first before rain tracks eastwards across the country through the morning and early afternoon, followed by showers, with some heavy or thundery falls possible. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with fresh and gusty south to southwest winds.

Current indications suggest Friday and Saturday will be drier with lighter winds and just some showers. Further spells of rain likely for Sunday.
